2. Tailored Cables for Morocco’s Solar Park Needs

First, we recommended H1Z2Z2-K Solar Cable for the PV module connection and DC transmission part of the project. This model is specifically designed for solar energy systems and has significant advantages over ordinary cables. Unlike standard PV cables, H1Z2Z2-K Solar Cable uses halogen-free flame-retardant insulation and sheath materials, which are resistant to high temperatures, UV radiation, and chemical corrosion—critical for withstanding Morocco’s desert environment. The 1×6 mm specification was mainly used for the connection between PV modules and combiner boxes, thanks to its excellent current-carrying capacity and flexibility, which simplifies on-site installation in the desert.
Second, we selected H07V-K for the project’s low-voltage control system and indoor wiring. This single-core flexible cable is ideal for fixed installations, with a rated voltage of 450/750 V and a temperature range of -30°C to +70°C, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor low-voltage applications. Compared to other low-voltage cables, H07V-K uses high-quality class 5 multi-stranded copper conductors, which have lower resistance and better conductivity, reducing energy loss. It also features PVC insulation that is wear-resistant and easy to strip, improving construction efficiency. We supplied H07V-K in specifications of 1×16 mm², 1×25 mm², 1×35 mm², and 1×50 mm², totaling 80,000 meters, to meet the wiring needs of the project’s control cabinets, lighting systems, and signal circuits.

Third, we provided PVO7AC-F Cable for the AC transmission part of the project, connecting inverters to step-up transformers and the grid. This multi-core AC solar cable is designed for high-efficiency power transmission in solar systems, with a rated voltage of 450/750 V and a service life of over 25 years—matching the 25-year design life of the Noor Solar Park. Unlike single-core AC cables, PVO7AC-F Cable is available in 2-core, 3-core, and 5-core specifications, which reduce wiring complexity and save installation time. For this project, we supplied 3-core 6 mm², 3-core 10 mm², and 5-core 4 mm² PVO7AC-F Cable, totaling 50,000 meters. The cable uses irradiation cross-linked compounds, ensuring high resistance to UV, ozone, and hydrolysis, and its tinned copper conductors enhance corrosion resistance in the desert’s dry and dusty environment.
To address the client’s doubt about product quality, we offered free sample services for all three cable models. We sent 5-meter samples of each specification to the client’s laboratory, allowing them to test key performance indicators such as temperature resistance, UV resistance, and conductivity.
