Customized Wire Solution
Combining the on-site needs of rooftop solar PV projects in the Bidfood and industrial C&I sectors in the Czech Republic, local climate characteristics and EU grid standards, we have customized a complete set of solar PV wire products. Each product has passed strict testing and can be naturally integrated into the specific scenarios of the project to play a role silently. All models comply with IEC/TÜV certification standards (certificate number B 126326 0001 Rev.00). Below, we will combine the project scenarios to slowly talk about the value of each product.
1. Module to Combiner Box
On the rooftops of Bidfood food storage bases and old industrial factory buildings in the Czech Republic, solar PV modules are neatly arranged, and the connection between the modules and the combiner box is exactly our H1Z2Z2-K Solar Cable playing a role. As the most used cable in the entire project, it is perfectly suitable for the scenario of short series connection on the rooftop. Among them, the 1×4mm² specification has become the mainstream choice on the rooftop due to its strong adaptability, accounting for more than 70%, while the 1×6mm² specification is used for long-distance or high-current string connection, which can meet the needs of different wiring paths. XLPO double-layer insulation solar cable, which can maintain good performance even in the severe cold weather of minus ten degrees Celsius in the Czech winter, with a low temperature resistance of up to -40℃, fully resisting the severe cold test of the local winter. The tinned copper conductor can effectively resist oxidation and corrosion, extending the service life of the cable. The high-flexibility small bending radius design allows it to easily adapt to the complex wiring environment of old rooftops, and it can wind along the rooftop structure without excessive bending. The black sheath is not only convenient for concealed wiring on the rooftop, but also has the characteristics of wear resistance and drag resistance, which can be directly laid without additional protection. The rated voltage and long-term working temperature are also fully suitable for the needs of solar PV module series connection and DC combiner connection, silently escorting the DC transmission of the entire solar PV system.

2. Combiner Box to Inverter
After the DC power generated by the solar PV modules is collected into the combiner box, it needs to be transmitted to the inverter for conversion through DC combiner/backbone cables. Our PV1-F and H1Z2Z2-K (thickened version) are the core products undertaking this responsibility. They are mainly used for long-distance transmission from the combiner box to the inverter, which can effectively reduce line voltage drop and ensure that power loss is controlled within a reasonable range. This cable inherits the XLPO double-layer insulation and tinned copper conductor design of the DC solar PV cable, and its weather resistance and stability are consistent with the former, which can adapt to the climate characteristics and complex rooftop environment in the Czech Republic. The thickened conductor design further improves the transmission efficiency and reduces power waste during long-distance transmission. The black sheath is convenient for construction personnel to quickly identify among the complex equipment and lines on the rooftop, and also provides convenience for later maintenance work, perfectly adapting to the needs of long-distance wiring on the rooftop and ensuring that DC power can be stably and efficiently transmitted to the inverter.
3. Inverter to Distribution Cabinet
After the DC power is converted into AC power by the inverter, it needs to be transmitted to the distribution cabinet through AC cables, and then connected to the factory's power distribution system to provide power for enterprise production. Our YJV Cable undertakes this key connection role, perfectly adapting to the needs of high factory loads and realizing the smooth connection between grid-connected power transmission and factory power distribution. Among them, the 3×16mm² specification is used for conventional load scenarios, while the 5×25mm² specification, as the common upper limit on the AC side, can accurately match the high load access needs of the factory and meet the power supply during the enterprise's production process. The rated voltage and long-term working temperature of this cable are fully suitable for the requirements of the factory power distribution system. The XLPE insulation layer has good insulation performance and mechanical strength, which can withstand the complex power environment of the factory. The black sheath can be clearly distinguished from the DC cable, avoiding confusion during wiring, and ensuring that AC power can be stably and safely transmitted to every power link of the factory.
4. Monitoring System
The stable operation of the solar PV system is inseparable from a complete monitoring system, and the control and communication cables are the "nerves" of the monitoring system. Our RVV control and communication cables adapt to the monitoring needs of the entire project with standardized design, ensuring the smooth progress of inverter communication and SCADA monitoring system data collection, and providing guarantee for the stable operation of the system. Among them, the 2×1.5mm² specification has become the standard configuration of the entire project due to its stable transmission performance, while the 4×2.5mm² specification is adapted according to the actual needs of monitoring points to meet the requirements of different monitoring scenarios. This cable adopts multi-strand copper conductors, which have stable signal transmission and can accurately transmit monitoring data. The high-flexibility and small outer diameter design allows it to be flexibly wired in areas with dense equipment on the rooftop without occupying too much space. The gray sheath can be clearly distinguished from power cables to avoid signal interference. The standardized specifications not only facilitate unified procurement, but also simplify the later maintenance process, allowing the monitoring system to play a role continuously and stably.
5. Safety System
The thunderstorm-prone weather in the Czech Republic makes lightning protection and grounding of the solar PV system a top priority, and our yellow-green grounding cables assume the core responsibility of ensuring system safety. They are used for rooftop bracket grounding, lightning protection systems and equipotential connection, effectively resisting lightning strikes and leakage risks, and escorting the long-term safe operation of the entire solar PV system. Among them, the 16mm² and 25mm² specifications are adapted according to different grounding needs, which can meet the grounding requirements of different areas. This cable adopts yellow-green two-color identification, which conforms to international safety standards and allows construction personnel to quickly identify it. The pure copper conductor has excellent electrical conductivity, ensuring reliable grounding, and can maintain good grounding effect even in rainy and snowy weather, perfectly adapting to the thunderstorm-prone and snow-rich weather characteristics in the Czech Republic and building a safety barrier for the solar PV system.
Targeted Pain Point Resolution
We went deep into the actual site of Czech C&I rooftop solar PV projects, figured out every difficulty in the project promotion process, abandoned the generalized solutions, integrated every response measure into the scenario details, and realized the closed loop of "problem-solution-effect" to ensure the efficient and low-cost implementation of the project. Below, we will combine the on-site scenarios to talk about how we solved these pain points.
Pain Point 1: Cumbersome Grid Connection Approval and Uncontrollable Cycle
We learned that the local grid approval process in the Czech Republic is cumbersome, and the requirements for solar PV cable certification are extremely strict. Many projects are stuck in the approval link due to the lack of authoritative certification or inconsistent parameters, and the cycle is completely uncontrollable, affecting the overall progress of the project. To this end, we sorted out a complete set of IEC/TÜV certification documents in advance, with certificate number B 126326 0001 Rev.00, covering all cable models used in the project, including H1Z2Z2-K, YJV, RVV, etc. At the same time, we provided detailed technical parameter sheets and test reports to fully cooperate with customers in completing EPC approval, and adopted standardized model design to reduce the time for design review and make the approval process smoother. In the end, all cooperative projects successfully passed the grid connection approval without any delay, which greatly shortened the preliminary preparation cycle of the project and allowed the project to quickly enter the construction stage.

Pain Point 2: Complex Wiring on Old Rooftops and High Rework Rate
Most of the projects in this cooperation are old industrial factory buildings and Bidfood storage rooftops. These rooftops have small space, complex structure, narrow and tortuous wiring paths. Traditional cables have insufficient flexibility and are difficult to adapt to complex paths, frequently resulting in wiring jams, bending damage and other problems, leading to high construction rework rates and slowing down the project progress. To solve this problem, we mainly promoted the high-flexibility H1Z2Z2-K Solar Cable. Among them, the 1×4mm² and 1×6mm² specifications can easily fit the complex paths of old rooftops with their small bending radius design, and can complete wiring without excessive bending. The wear-resistant characteristics of the sheath allow it to be directly laid on the rooftop or bridge without additional protection, reducing construction procedures. At the same time, we also provided customers with a compact bridge wiring scheme to optimize the wiring path and make the wiring more reasonable. In the end, the construction rework rate was greatly reduced, the construction cycle was 15% shorter than the customer's expectation, and the wiring efficiency was also increased by 20%, ensuring that the project could proceed on schedule.
Pain Point 3: Cost Pressure of 1–3MW Projects and Difficult Balance of Cost-Effectiveness
The 1–3MW project scale is the most common in the Czech C&I sector, but the EPC market is highly competitive, and customers are highly sensitive to procurement costs. At the same time, they are worried about cost waste caused by over-design, making it difficult to balance quality and cost-effectiveness. Combining the actual scenario of the project, we optimized the cable selection. The DC side is mainly standardized specifications of 4mm² and 6mm², and the AC side selects 16mm² and 25mm² specifications to accurately match the factory load demand, avoiding cost waste caused by over-design. At the same time, for the characteristics of batch procurement of multiple projects, we uniformly formulated BOM lists, provided project-level package quotes, gave customers reasonable discounts, and strictly controlled procurement costs. In the end, we helped customers reduce the overall BOS cost, controlled the cable procurement cost within the customer's budget, ensured product quality, and achieved high cost-effectiveness, solving the customer's cost problem.
Pain Point 4: Extreme Weather (Severe Cold, UV, Snow) Affects Cable Service Life
The climatic conditions in the Czech Republic put high requirements on the durability of cables. The minimum temperature in winter can reach -15℃. Long-term strong UV radiation and snow drag in winter are likely to cause ordinary cables to suffer from low-temperature brittleness, sheath aging, wear and other problems, shortening the cable service life and increasing later maintenance costs. To this end, all series of cables customized by us for the project adopt an XLPO double-layer insulation structure, with a low temperature resistance of up to -40℃, far exceeding the low temperature requirements of the Czech winter, and can effectively resist the impact of severe cold weather. The sheath is made of high UV anti-aging material, which can resist long-term UV radiation and avoid sheath cracking. The outer sheath is added with anti-mechanical tensile design, which is wear-resistant and drag-resistant, and can withstand the pressure and drag wear of snow, extending the service life of the cable. In the end, the service life of the cable was extended to more than 25 years, which greatly reduced the later maintenance cost, perfectly adapted to the extreme climatic conditions in the Czech Republic, and ensured the long-term stable operation of the solar PV system.
Pain Point 5: Dense Rooftop Equipment and Limited Wiring Space
In the rooftop solar PV projects in the Czech C&I sector, the inverters, combiner boxes, monitoring equipment and other equipment on the rooftop are closely arranged, and the wiring path is greatly limited. Traditional cables have a large outer diameter and occupy more space, which is likely to cause wiring confusion and mutual interference, which not only affects the appearance, but also brings inconvenience to later maintenance. To solve this problem, we provided customers with small outer diameter and high flexibility cables, especially RVV control cables and small-section H1Z2Z2-K cables, which can be flexibly wired in limited space without occupying too much space. At the same time, we also optimized the wiring scheme to make the cable layout more neat and orderly, without interfering with the operation of other equipment. In the end, the wiring on the rooftop became neat and standardized, which not only improved the space utilization rate of the rooftop, but also provided convenience for later maintenance work, allowing maintenance personnel to quickly troubleshoot problems and carry out maintenance.
Pain Point 6: Low Operation and Maintenance Fault Tolerance and Heavy Shutdown Losses
The solar PV projects in this cooperation are mainly used for enterprise self-use. Once the solar PV system shuts down due to cable failure, it will directly affect the enterprise's production and operation and cause huge economic losses. Therefore, customers have extremely high requirements for the long-term stability, oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance of cables, and hope to simplify the maintenance process and reduce maintenance costs. In response to this demand, we adopted tinned copper conductors in all cables. This kind of conductor has excellent oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance, which can reduce faults caused by conductor oxidation. The whole system adopts low failure rate design standards, and the key cables have unified specifications, which simplifies the maintenance process. At the same time, we also provided customers with perfect quality assurance and technical support, regularly followed up the operation of the project, and timely solved the problems encountered in the operation and maintenance process. In the end, the cable failure rate was controlled below 0.5%, which effectively avoided shutdown losses caused by cable failures and allowed the solar PV system to continuously and stably provide power for the enterprise.
