In 2025, our team successfully completed a key wire export project for a large EdTech enterprise’s headquarters building construction and renovation in Metro Manila, Philippines. As a professional wire manufacturer focusing on international export, we provided high-quality THHN and SPT cables tailored to the project’s needs, solving the client’s core pain points with our comprehensive product range, rich project experience, and reliable quality. This case details how we helped the EdTech client achieve efficient, safe, and compliant building wiring, setting a benchmark for wire export projects in the Philippines’ EdTech and construction industries.
1. The EdTech Client’s Urgent Needs and Pain Points
The client is a fast-growing EdTech company in the Philippines, dedicated to providing online education solutions and technical support for schools and students across the country. With its business expansion, the company launched a comprehensive construction and renovation project for its new headquarters building in Metro Manila, covering a total construction area of approximately 8,000 square meters. The building includes office areas, teaching demonstration rooms, server rooms, and multi-functional meeting halls, all of which require high-standard electrical wiring to ensure stable power supply for daily operations, teaching equipment, and network systems.
Before cooperating with us, the client faced several critical pain points that hindered the project progress: First, the lack of a one-stop wire supplier. The project required both power transmission cables for main circuits and light-duty power cables for auxiliary equipment, but most suppliers in the market only provided a single type of wire, leading to complicated procurement procedures and increased costs. Second, the difficulty in finding suppliers with similar project experience. EdTech headquarters buildings have strict requirements for wire safety, heat resistance, and compatibility with intelligent equipment, and ordinary suppliers could not provide effective solutions based on past cases. Third, concerns about product quality and compliance. The Philippines has updated its mandatory wire safety standards (DAO 22-07), requiring imported wires to meet the latest PNS 35-1:2021 (for THHN) and PNS 163:2018 (for SPT) standards, and many suppliers failed to provide valid certification documents, making customs clearance and on-site acceptance difficult. Fourth, tight construction schedules. The client planned to move into the new headquarters within a short period and needed the wires to be delivered quickly to avoid delaying the overall construction progress.
After extensive market research and comparison, the client chose us as their sole wire supplier, mainly due to our comprehensive product range, rich experience in building wiring projects, and complete certification system that meets Philippine national standards.
2. THHN & SPT Cables Tailored to EdTech Building Needs
After in-depth communication with the client’s engineering team, we fully understood the wiring requirements of different areas in the headquarters building and designed a customized solution focusing on THHN and SPT cables, which are the core products of the project. We recommended specific specifications based on the client’s actual needs, ensuring that each cable is perfectly matched to the building’s functional areas and equipment requirements.
For the main power transmission and distribution system of the building (including the main switch room, floor distribution boxes, and high-power equipment circuits), we recommended THHN cable industrial wiring use, which are ideal for building internal wiring due to their excellent heat resistance and mechanical properties. The client purchased a total of 12,800 meters of THHN cables, including the following key specifications: 1x3.5mm (3,200 meters, used for auxiliary lighting circuits in office areas), 1x5.5mm (4,500 meters, used for power supply of ordinary office equipment such as computers and printers), 1x8mm (3,800 meters, used for main branch circuits of each floor), and 1x50mm (1,300 meters, used for the main power input circuit of the building). Unlike other ordinary PVC cables, THHN cables adopt a thermoplastic nylon insulation layer with an outer PVC coating, which has a rated temperature of 90℃ and a rated voltage of 600V, making them more heat-resistant and wear-resistant than ordinary cables. Their lightweight and smooth surface also facilitates threading in narrow spaces, reducing construction time and labor costs.
For the auxiliary power supply of the building (including teaching demonstration equipment, wall sockets in meeting halls, and low-power intelligent devices), we recommended SPT parallel sheath cables, which are specially designed for light-duty power supply scenarios. The client purchased 5,200 meters of SPT cables, including 1x5.5mm (3,000 meters, used for power supply of teaching demonstration equipment) and 1x8mm (2,200 meters, used for wall sockets and small auxiliary equipment in multi-functional areas). SPT cables feature two parallel insulated conductors connected by a rib, which is easy to separate during wiring and has good flexibility. Compared with other similar light-duty cables, our SPT cables adopt a thicker insulation layer (complying with SPT-2 standards), providing better durability and anti-wear performance, which is suitable for the frequent plugging and unplugging of equipment in EdTech buildings. In addition, the insulation material of our SPT cables is non-toxic and environmentally friendly, meeting the indoor air quality requirements of the headquarters building.
In addition to providing core cables, we also provided supporting accessories and professional technical guidance, helping the client’s engineering team solve on-site wiring problems and ensuring that the cable installation meets relevant standards.
3. Certification Compliance and Strict Quality Control
Safety is the top priority for building wiring, especially for EdTech headquarters buildings that carry a large number of electrical equipment and personnel. To address the client’s concerns about product quality and compliance, we highlighted our strict quality control system and complete certification advantages.
All our THHN and SPT cables fully comply with the latest Philippine national standards. Our THHN cables have passed the PNS 35-1:2021 certification, and SPT cables have obtained the PNS 163:2018 certification, both of which are mandatory certifications required by the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) for imported wires. In addition, our cables also hold UL83, IEC, and ISO9001 certifications, ensuring that the product quality meets international standards and can pass customs clearance and on-site acceptance smoothly. Unlike some low-quality suppliers that provide counterfeit certification documents, we can provide original certification reports issued by authoritative institutions, which greatly reduced the client’s risks in customs clearance and project acceptance.
In terms of quality control, we implement strict inspections throughout the production process. From the selection of raw materials (high-purity copper conductors and high-quality nylon/PVC insulation materials) to the production, extrusion, and testing of cables, each link is supervised by professional technicians. We conduct routine tests on each batch of cables, including conductor resistance, insulation resistance, voltage resistance, and heat resistance tests, ensuring that the performance of each cable meets the design requirements. For this EdTech project, we also conducted additional sampling tests on the delivered cables, providing test reports to the client to ensure complete peace of mind.
4. Fast Response and Efficient Cooperation
Understanding the client’s urgent need to complete the project on schedule, we optimized our delivery process to ensure that the cables were delivered quickly and accurately. After the client confirmed the order, we immediately arranged production, prioritizing the production of the specifications needed for the project’s key construction links. With our mature production lines and sufficient inventory, we completed the production of all 18,000 meters of cables (12,800 meters of THHN and 5,200 meters of SPT) in a short period.
In terms of logistics, we cooperated with professional international logistics companies with rich experience in Philippine exports, optimizing the transportation route to avoid delays caused by customs clearance or transportation. We also provided complete customs clearance documents in advance, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certification reports, and import commodity clearance (ICC) documents, ensuring that the cables passed Philippine customs smoothly without any delays. Finally, the entire batch of cables was delivered to the construction site in Metro Manila ahead of the agreed time, providing strong support for the client’s construction progress.
During the delivery process, we maintained close communication with the client and the logistics company, providing real-time transportation updates so that the client could grasp the arrival time of the cables and arrange construction work in advance. After the cables arrived at the site, our technical team also provided on-site guidance, helping the client’s engineering team check the cable specifications and quality, and answering questions about installation and use.
5. Safe, Stable, and Compliant Wiring Achievement
With our high-quality cables and professional services, the client’s EdTech headquarters building construction and renovation project was completed smoothly as scheduled. The THHN and SPT cables we provided performed excellently in the actual application process:
First, the THHN cables ensured stable power transmission for the building’s main circuits. Even during peak power consumption (such as when all office equipment and teaching devices are in use), the cables maintained stable performance without overheating or power failure, ensuring the normal operation of the client’s daily work and teaching activities. The 1x50mm THHN cables used in the main power input circuit effectively withstood high current loads, providing a reliable power guarantee for the entire building.
Second, the SPT cables met the flexible power supply needs of auxiliary equipment. Their easy-to-install design reduced construction time, and the thick insulation layer ensured long-term safe use, avoiding potential safety hazards caused by cable wear or short circuits. The SPT cables used in the teaching demonstration rooms and meeting halls perfectly matched the client’s intelligent equipment, ensuring stable power supply for projectors, interactive whiteboards, and other devices.
Third, all cables passed the on-site acceptance conducted by the client and the Philippine relevant authorities, complying with the latest national standards and avoiding any compliance risks. The client’s engineering team highly recognized the quality of our cables, noting that the installation process was smooth and the performance was consistent with the design requirements.
