Cuba has been accelerating its national grid modernization and distributed energy construction in recent years, especially from 2021 to 2026. Facing long-term challenges such as aging power facilities, insufficient power supply stability, and high dependence on traditional energy, local energy authorities and construction companies have launched a series of grid renovation and distributed power generation projects to improve power coverage, reduce outage risks, and build a more reliable and sustainable energy system.
Against this background, a key local energy integrator undertook large-scale grid reconstruction and distributed power station construction across multiple regions. The project covered low-voltage power distribution, overhead and buried lines, power station supporting lines, and grid-connected transmission links, placing extremely high requirements on cable safety, weather resistance, and certification compliance.

Customized Cable Solution for Cuban Grid Projects
Based on the client’s actual construction scenarios, project standards, and environmental characteristics, we formulated a full-cycle cable supply plan covering distributed power stations and grid upgrading. The solution is highly targeted and fully matches local construction needs.
For conventional power distribution and indoor and outdoor wiring, we recommended THHN/THWN-2 cables in sizes 8 AWG, 6 AWG, 4 AWG, 2 AWG, and 1/0 AWG. For outdoor buried, overhead, and long-distance power supply scenarios, we provided RHW-2 power cables with specifications from 2 AWG to 4/0 AWG. This product performs stably in direct burial and open air, resists soil corrosion and sunlight aging, and perfectly adapts to Cuba’s long-term high temperature and rainy climate.
In key power supply loops and main electrical trunk lines, we matched professional power cable products with different sections according to load demand, ensuring stable current carrying capacity and safe long-term operation. At the same time, XHHW-2 energy cable for electrical systems was used in important grid-connected nodes and equipment connection sections, with outstanding insulation performance and strong environmental adaptability, becoming a reliable guarantee for the stable operation of the entire power system.
